In order to search for the allelism of the Japonica rice dwarf genes, Waesung #5 and Bangnong 2477-1 was crossed to the d₁₀ genetic marker F1 293. The d₁₀ marker also were crossed to the d₁, d₃₅ and D₅₃ dwarf gene markers, and their allelic relations were tested. The F₁s and F₂s of waesung #5/Bangnong 2477-1 and Waesung #5/F1 293 crosses showed no segregation. From these results, it is concluded that the culm length of Waesung #5, Bangnong 2477-1 and F1 293 are controlled by the same gene d₁₀. This was also proved by the crosses between two normal tall cultivars PI#1 and F₅-818 and those three d₁₀ dwarfs, which showed the same single-recessive-dwarf gene controlled segregation pattern. In the F₂ of d₁₀ tester and d₃₅ marker Tanginbozu, the segregation ratio of 9:6:1 was found. In the F₂s of d₁₀ tester and the d₁ marker F12 and F1277, the segregation ratio of 9:3:3:1 was observed. In the cross of d₁₀ tester and the D₅₃ F1 282, the F₂ segregation turned out to the 3:10:3 ratio. It was proved that the marker F1 282 being controlled by a dominant dwarf gene. The d₁₀ dwarf showed independent segregation of the marker characters yl, lg, drp₃ and bc of the marker stock F₅-818. The d₁₀dwarf and fine stripe(fs) of F1 293 was linked closely.
