A correlation and path-coefficient analysis on the culm length and five upper internode length in Oriza sativa was carried out by using five parental varieties and their ten F1 sets. The five parental varieties were Raekyung, Yeongnam josaeng, Nongbaek, Yushin and Honenwase. Culm length was correlated positively with internode lengths regardless of positions. The closer internode position were the higher positive correlations between internode length were observed among them. The fourth internode length was the most effective factor in determining culm length, whereas the second internode length was the least.
