二面交配에 의한 分蘗型 옥수수의 主要量的形質에 대한 遺傳分析

Diallel cross analysis of major quantitative characters in tillering maize

This study was carried out to obtain basic information of genetic behavior of tillering. Materials used for the study were PI213749, Tlr, Teosinte and IK, and six F₁ hybrids from half diallel crosses among four inbreds. Mean square values of all characteristics measured except for tiller number per plant were highly significant. Average percent of heterosis for the stem height, ear height, ear diameter and 100 kernel weight showed positive values, while tiller number per plant was negative. These characteristics were highly significant in both general and specific combining ability, while ear leaf length, ear leaf width and stem diameter were significant only for specific combining ability. General combining ability effects (CGA) of the stem height and ear height were highly significant in Teosinte, while PI213749, Tlr and IK had negative effects. Specific combining ability effects (SCA) of the stem height, ear height and leaf length were highly significant in all crosses,while Tlr/IK showed negative value of SCA. 100 kernel weight was only significant for the Teosinte/IK and Tlr/IK. In variance components analysis stem height, ear height and ear length were significant for both additive and dominant effects, while tiller number per plant, ear leaf length, stem diameter and 100 kernel weight were only significant in dominance effects. In Wr-Vr graph, all characteristics were exhibited by over dominance, while ear length was partial dominance. Broad sense of heritability for all characteristics except for tiller number per plant were high.
