水稻 品種間 交雜에 있어서 稈長의 遺傳分離 ⅩⅢ. Japonica型 벼 短桿系統 GP22 및 長桿品種 tatsumimochi에 있어서 稈長의 遺傳

Segregation mode of plant height in crosses of rice cultivars ⅩⅢ. Inheritance of culm lenght on japonica semi-dwarf line GP22 and tall cultivar tatsumimochi

GP22 which is a Japonica semi-dwarf rice line bred for its restoration of cytoplasmic male sterility and Tatsumimochi which is a Japonica waxy cultivar were tested for their height gene allelism. GP22 was crossed to the d47 dwarf gene testers such as Samnambyeo, Seolakbyeo and Suweon 224 and crossed to the Tatsumimochi which has tall plant height. In the crosses of GP22 and d47 dwarf gene testers such as GP22/Samnambyeo, GP22/Seolakbyeo and GP22/Suweon224, the F₁s showed almost the same height as their parents and their F₂s and H₂s showed no genetic segregation, although their standard deviations were enlarged. From the result it was concluded that the GP22 has the same height gene of those d47 gene testers. In the cross of GP22/Tatsumimochi, The F₁ was as tall as tall parent Tatsumimochi, F₂ showed typical 3:1 single dominant gene controlled segregation, and the H₂ also showed a typical 1:1 of tall to short segregation. A shortest segregant and a normal short segregant form the H₂ of GP22/Tatsumimochi cross were crossed and their F₂ segregation were examined. The result was same as in the crosses of GP22/d47 gene testers. Therefore, it was concluded that the tall height of Tatsumimochi is allelic to the semidwarf of GP22 and d47 gene testers. From the result of 1:1 segregation of tall to short in the H₂ of the cross of GP22/Tatsumimochi, we estimated the equal segregation of the genotypes in the anther and the equal chance of the genotypes to regenerate from a pollen to a diploid plant.
