Despite the rapid development of cruise tourism in Asia in recent years, the obstacles to this development will be the greatest political and diplomatic friction, such as territorial disputes and the THAAD issue. In addition, factors such as different CIQ schemes, lack of cruise port infrastructure, and lack of regional economic ripple effect due to cruise can be seen as factors. However, these factors are gradually becoming better in terms of the importance of tourism among countries. Cruise tourism in Asia is becoming more and more active as a result of the policy aspect and various activities of the international cruise consortium in Asia, together with the temporary adjustment of visa policies for cruise tourists in each country. The priority tasks are to improve the system such as simplification of CIQ, to expand individual tourists by improving distribution structure, to upgrade the port of call program to improve cruise customer satisfaction, and to develop the identity of international cruise Jeollanamdo through international activities. A mid- to long-term plan is needed to maximize the economic ripple effects of the call.
