Interrelation among highly resistant, moderately resistant, and susceptible genes to K₁ race(HB8939 and HB8539 isolates) of bacterial blight were investigated in F₁ and F₂ plants from the five crosses. Highly resistant reaction was a single dominant to moderately resistant and susceptible reactions, respectively and moderately resistant reaction was a single dominant to susceptible reaction. Therefore, multiple allelic relationships among these phenotypes were recognized, dominant and recessive relation of genes controlling these reactions were in the order of highly resistant(Xa-1)>moderately resistant(Xa-1t)>susceptible (xa-1). Moderately resistant gene of Tongil type line HP744-2-1 was designated tentatively as Xa-1t, this gene was found to be located at the Xa-1 locus. The Xa-1 and Xa-1t genes were linked with the Ph gene on the linkage group Ⅱ with the recombination value of 7.25 and 7.54%, resceptively.
