‘Romey 기법’*에 의한 초등학교 체육 교과서 내용 분석

2007 개정 교육과정에 따라 편찬된 4종의 체육 교과서의 ‘6학년 도전활동 영역의 매트 운동’의 본문 내용은 8가지의 범주로 분류될 수 있었다. 첫째, 8가지의 영역 중 ⓖ영역인 ‘학생들에게 어떤 활동을 실행하고 분석하도록 지시하는 진술’이 가장 많은 비중을 차지하고 있었으며 ⓐ영역인 ‘사실의 진술’과 ⓑ 영역인 ‘결론 또는 일반화’가 많은 비중을 차지하고 있었다. 둘째, ⓒ영역인 ‘정의’와 ⓓ영역인 ‘교과서에서 답을 찾도록 하는 진술’은 4종의 교과서 모두에서 아주 작은 비중을 차지하고 있었다. 셋째, ⓔ영역인 ‘학생들에게 자료를 분석할 것을 요구하는 질문’과 ⓕ영역인 ‘학생들에게 나름의 결론을 내리게 하는 진술’은 출판사 별로 비중 의 차이가 컸으며 또한 큰 비중을 차지하지 않았다는데 공통점이 있었다. 넷째, ⓗ영 역인 학생들에게 흥미를 유발하지만 답을 주지 않는 질문들은 각 교과서마다 한 두 개가 포함되어 있었다. 다섯째, Romey의 평가지수 산출 결과 내용이나 학습 자료 모 두에서 Romey의 분류기준의 ‘0.5<T&#8806;1.5’의 범주에 해당되어 ‘탐구적 교과서로 가장 바람직한 교과서’로 나타났다.

The purpose of this study was to know whether P&#8228;E textbooks reflect aims of the 2007 revised P&#8228;E curriculum properly or not. To do this, textbooks of four publishing companies were collected. and the contents of mat exercises in the challenge domain of 6th grade were used to classify and analyse the sentences of P&#8228; E textbooks by Romey s method. The results are as follows. First, ⓖ type- sentences asking students conduct and analyse an activity -took a larger part than others. the next were ⓐ type- face statement and ⓑ type- conclusion and generalization . Second, ⓒ type- definition and ⓓ type- sentences asking to find answers in the textbook took even smaller parts than others. Third, there were great differences between publishing companies in the quantity of ⓔ type- questions demand students to analyse learning materials and ⓕ type- statements make students draw their own conclusions. Fourth, only one or two ⓗ type sentences - questions arouse students interests but don t give answers were being included. Fifth, the Romey s evaluation index of this research fell under the category ‘0.5<T&#8806;1.5’. so, all the P&#8228;E textbooks used in this research were desirable as an inquiring one.
