Reduction of risk p lays a pi votal role in the development of medical instru ments. A hyperbari c oxygen chamber, as a medic al device, is known to help med ical therapy for diver sity of di seases through prov ision of high purity oxygen. Th e use of hyperbaric oxygen is expected to increas e in the future and study to rig orously examine reliabili ty and sa fety is needed. We have performed risk assessment fo r a newly develope d hyperba ric oxygen chambe r in this study. We first bri efly discussed the syste m structu re and concept of r isk assessment for the study. B ased on the hazar ds identi fied, we performed preliminary hazard analysis fo r the chamber.
