방현석 노동소설의 인물특성과 주제의식

Character characteristics and subject consciousness in Bang Hyun-soek’s Labour novels

이 논문은 방현석의 노동소설 새벽 출정 (1989)과 내일을 여는 집-송림동 산 27번지 (1990)에 등장하는 인물의 특성과 주제의식을 고찰한 것이다. 방현석은 새벽 출정 과 내일을 여는 집 을 통하여 여성 노동자들의 삶을 사실적이고 현실감있게 묘사했다. 이들 작품은 노동 현장에서 비주류로 여겨졌던 여성 노동자를 남성 노동자보다 투쟁적이고 희생적인 인물로 형상화했다는 점에 주목해 볼 만하다. 무엇보다도 새벽출정 과 내일을 여는 집 에서는 투쟁적 여성 인물을 통하여 노동 현장에서 중요한 것이 동맹의식이라는 점을 강조한다. 1987년 노동자대투쟁 이후 각지의 노동자들은 어용노조의 반대와 최소한의 생존권 쟁취를 위하여 임금인상을 요구하게 되는데, 세광 노조는 주위에 있는 다른 노조와의 동맹과 연대를 통하여 결속력을 강화해 나가면서 이를 실현하기 위한 노력을 아끼지 않는다. 또한 희생적 인물을 통하여 따뜻한 인간애의 중요성을 강조한다. 투쟁 현장에서 이들이 보여주는 헌신과 솔선수범의 정신은 투쟁을 지탱해 나갈 수 있게 하는 원동력으로 작용한다. 이러한 인물을 통하여 두 작품은 ‘인간다운 삶의 갈망’이라는 주제의식을 드러낸다.

This paper is a review the aspects of the female characters and subject consciousness reproduced Labour novel Open house tomorrow (1990) and Dawn Outgoing (1989) of the Bang Hyeon-seok’s labour novel. In particular, Bang Hyeon-seok is able to reproduce the working lives of factual reality through Dawn Outgoing and Open house tomorrow . Among the women workers who built my stay at the periphery of the labor movement in front of the novel. Also it revealed at the same time the spirit of the era writers looking eyes watching the women and the people. Bang Hyeon-seok is worth seeing to note that through these works that reproduce the female workers in the workplace was considered as a fringe figure in the struggle and sacrifice than male workers. Through the figures reproduced in the novel, the reader since the year 1987 Workers struggles of the role of women can read a fact that is very important in the workplace. Above all, the author emphasizes that it is most important to the alliance awareness in the workplace through a militant character. Since Workers struggles in the country, the workers are demanding wage increases to the minimum survival as opposed to fish farming unions. In the process, Sekwang union of Dawn Outgoing goes out to strengthen the solidarity between unions throughout the alliance and solidarity with other unions around. Also the author shows the warm humanity through the sacrificial character of reproduction. In other words, the spirit of dedication in the field of struggle they show initiative and act as a driving force to continue to be able to sustain the struggle.
