Yi Sang exposes the power behind modern daily life through a unique poetry revealing the subconscious of the modern. This article calls such Yi Sang’s poetics “Poetics of The Uncanny” and examined it. <poem No. the 11th among Ogamdo> expresses “Poetics of The Uncanny” while showing the poetics that decorates the uncanny image of the castration symbol. This poetics subvert the ideology that operates through ‘self-identity’, revealing the abyss of unconsciousness. <poem No. the 13th among Ogamdo> reveals the feminine character of the inner otherness that the superego wants to destroy and shows the woman’s victory against masculinity. Thus, the poet subvert patriarchal ideology that unconsciously dominates life. The “Poetics of The Uncanny” to reveal the unconscious is closely related to the eroticism expressing repressed sexual desires. <Madwomen’s Confession> shows surrealism of the process in which a woman erupts sexual desires. Being a prostitute, she is a fallen angel who defiles the virtuous values of the world and violates morality through her own desires. The woman in the madness is also the other who composes Yi Sang’s unconsciousness.
