협동학습을 통한 영어 쓰기 활동이 학습자의 영작문 불안과 영어학습 간접 전략에 미치는 효과

This study aimed to examine the effectiveness of an English class, which a specially designed cooperative English writing activity was applied, on learners’ English writing anxiety and the use of language learning indirect strategy. The main purpose of the designed English writing activity was to explore learners’ perspectives toward English writing when they performed English writing activity through the cooperative work. As a result of the investigation of pre and post experimental tests for 150 college students, the designed English writing activity through the cooperative work showed a positive and significant effect on the level of English anxiety of the subjects and the frequency and the use of English learning indirect strategy of the subjects, especially of the group of less-proficient English learners in contrast with those of the group of more-proficient English learners. The results showed that the designed English writing activity through the cooperative work could lessen the English anxiety of learners and promote the use of English learning indirect strategy.
