미술 중점학교 교육과정 개발 및 학생 선발 제도 수립에 관한 연구

A Study on the development of curriculum and admission systems for Korean art-oriented schools

현재 일반 중등학교에서는 예체능 계열의 특수 목적 고등학교나 대학 입시를 위한 전문교육이 거의 이루어지지 않아 많은 학생들이 사교육에 의존하고 있는 형편이다. 이러한 문제점을 해결하고자 교육과학기술부는 ‘예술․체육 중점학교’를 제안하였으 며, 이에 따라 예술․체육 중점학교의 교육과정 개발 및 학생 선발 제도의 수립이 시 급하게 요구되었다. 본 연구는 그 중 미술 중점학교와 관련된 연구로, 예술 체육 중점 학교의 목적에 기초하여 국가 시책에 따른 미술 중점학교의 교육과정과 학생 선발 제 도를 개발하고 발전 방향을 제시하는 데 목적을 두었다. 이를 위하여 중점학교 관련 선행 연구를 조사하였으며, 중점학교 관련자를 대상으로 3차에 걸친 요구조사(FGI) 및 현장 실사, 전문가 협의회를 거쳐 미술 중점학교의 방향 및 운영 방안을 모색하였 다. 미술 중점학교의 교육과정은 국민 공통 기본 교육과정에 기초를 두되 중점학교의 목적과 취지에 따라 적용 가능하도록 방향을 설정하였으며, 학교급별 교과목의 편성 및 운영, 시간 편제, 성격, 교육 목표, 내용 체계, 교수․학습 방법, 평가 등으로 이루어 진 미술 중점학교 교육과정을 개발하였다. 학생 선발 제도는 일반계 및 예체능계 중등 학교와의 차별화를 위하여 실기 시험을 배제하고 학습 계획 평가 및 잠재적 역량 평 가의 2단계 면접 사정 방안을 제시하였다. 본 연구가 미술 중점학교의 설립과 운영에 있어 토대를 마련하는 데 중요한 역할을 할 것이라 기대하며, 본 연구 결과를 바탕으 로 2011학년도부터 시작된 미술 중점학교의 안정적인 운영과 개선을 위한 후속 연구 가 요구되는 바이다.

It is routine that many students in middle and high school have to depend on private education to prepare for the entrance examination of arts high schools or universities. In order for solving this problem, the Korean Ministry of Education, Science and Technology(MEST) have suggested Arts & Physical Training Oriented School . MEST So It was very urgent task to develope its own curriculum and admission systems. This study is supported by Korea Arts & Culture Education Service(Arte) via MEST. The purpose of this study is to develop curriculum and admission systems for Korean art-oriented schools and to suggest a direction and managing ways. For this purpose, related studies were investigated and 3-time FGI and specialists meetings were conducted in order for collecting needs reconciling ideas. In addition, field trip of visiting the art-oriented schools were executed. The direction for the curriculum of art-oriented schools has been set up as laying the foundation to the Korean National Art Curriculum(Korean Ministry of Education & Human Resources Development(MEHRD), 2007), but practicable adjusting to art-oriented school s purpose and object. It was suggested that the curriculum containing subject organizations and managing ways, time tables, characters of the school, educational objectives, contents systems, teaching and learning ways, assesment, in both the middle and high school. Admission systems are suggested as two steps-interviews on assessing students learning plans, potential abilities, which has been aimed for differentiating from general and special-purpose middle and high school. This study can be the basis for establishing and managing art-oriented school, and it is requested follow-up studies on reconstructing each schools curriculums and stable management ways.
