학문으로서 코칭의 정체성 확립에 관한 연구

A Study on Establishment of Coaching Identity as Academic Studies: Focusing on Socrates Educational Philosophy

본 연구는 소크라테스의 교육철학을 토대로 20세기 들어 급격히 성장하고 있는 코칭에 대한 비판적 논의와 학문적 정체성 정립을 모색코자 논의 하였다.연구를 통해 소크라테스의 교육철학의 목적인 인간의 탁월성(아레데), 산파술, 아포리아 등은 코칭 철학과 방법론의 기반이 될 수 있음을 확인하였다. 그 결과. 첫째, 코칭의 목적은 개인과 조직의 성공과 수행적 탁월성이 아닌 품성적 탁월성까지 포함한 재개념화가 필요하다. 둘째, 코칭에 있어 소크라테스적 방법과 프로세스를 정립할 필요가 있다. 셋째, 코치의 역량은 삶에 대한 끊임없는 성찰에 관한 것이어야 한다. 넷째, 코치와 피코치는 철저한 파트너십을 지향해야 한다. 이러한 소크라테스 교육철학과 의 논의는 코칭이 HRD 전략의 한 유행으로 그치는 것이 아니라 학문적으로 정립할 수 있는 이론적 초석을 마련해 줄 것이다.
