단군신화 (檀君神話) 와 한국적 사유의 동일지평 (同一地平)

The Same Horizon of the Myth of Dangun and Korean Thinking : Focusing on the Relationship between Archetypal Cogitation of the Myth of Dangun and Confucian Philosophy

단군신화 속에는 우리 민족의 철학적 사유의 동일 지평을 구성하는 세계관, 인간관, 도덕관 등의 원형적 사유가 구성적(構成的) 원리로 잠재되어 있다. 단군신화는 우리 민족의 원형적 의식일 뿐만 아니라, 하나의 필연성을 가지는 한국적 사유의 동일지평(同一地平)을 형성한다. 신화에 대한 해석은 현재에 의해서 끊임없이 변화될 수 있다. 그러나 해석에 의해서 신화의 기억이 완전히 사라지는 것은 아니다. 과거의 기억은 인간의 현재에 대해서 여전히 자신의 역할을 수행한다. 현재의 생각이나 의식적인 행위는 과거의 경험을 전제하고 있으며, 과거의 경험은 오랜 시간 우리의 정신과 사고 속에 지속적으로 퇴적된다. 이렇게 퇴적된 과거의 기억은 우리에게 현재의 경험을 이해할 수 있게 해주는 해석의 틀을 제공해 준다. 과거의 기억으로서 단군신화의 시원적(始原的) 경험은 지금도 우리들의 사유의 밑바닥에서 잠재성(潛在性)의 영역으로 쉬지 않고 작용하여 영향을 주고 있다. 사유의 구성 원리라는 측면에서 볼 때, 단군신화와 유가철학의 유사성은 매우 짙다. 단군신화의 핵심사상이 중국의 유가사상과 매우 유사한 내용을 가지고 있지만, 이 둘은 분명히 다르고 또 유가사상의 주도적 영향과는 무관하다. 유가철학이 우리나라에서 크게 유행한 것은 단군신화가 가진 인지 도식의 유사성과 관련이 있을 것으로 보인다. 단군신화가 가지고 있는 연속적 세계관이나 현세 중심, 인간 중심적인 사유 도식은 유가의 사유체계와 결코 이질적(異質的)이지 않았기 때문이다.

In the myth of Dangun, archetypal cogitation such as outlooks of the world, man and morality that form the same horizon of our people s philosophical thinking are latent as a constructive principle. The myth of Dangun is not only our people s archetypal consciousness but also what forms the same horizon of Korean thinking with single necessity. Interpretations of a myth may change constantly by the present. But the memory of the myth does not disappear completely by the interpretations. The memory of the past still performs its role in the present life of men. Current thoughts or conscious behaviors are based on experiences of the past, which are constantly deposited in our spirits and thoughts for a long time. These deposited memories of the past provide a framework of interpretation that enables us to understand the present experiences. The inceptive experience of the myth of Dangun as a memory of the past still exerts influence by constantly operating as a territory of latency at the bottom of our thoughts. In terms of the constructive principle of thinking, there is a great similarity between the myth of Dangun and Confucian philosophy. The core idea of the myth of Dangun is extremely similar to the Confucian idea of China, but these two are clearly different and irrelevant to the leading influence of Confucian thoughts. The fact that Confucian philosophy was remarkably popular in Korea might be relevant to the similarity of cognitive schema of the myth of Dangun. This is because the sequential world outlook or world-centered and human-centered schema of thoughts in the myth of Dangun was definitely not very different from the thinking structure of Confucianism.
