蔚珍精神의 文化地圖에 대한 豫備的 試論 : 忠孝烈의 길(道)

A preliminary analysis on Uljin spirit found in the local cultural atlas : the virtue of Chung(忠)-Hoi(孝)-Yeul (烈)

이 연구는 울진정신의 문화지도에 대한 豫備的 試論이다. 따라서 이 연구를 수행하기 위해 우선, 울진 郡誌등에 대한 문헌조사를 하고 다음으로, 현존하고 있는 忠孝烈 碑 · 閣을 踏査하였다. 끝으로 관련 내용을 연계 후손 및 군민들과 인터뷰를 진행하였다. 그리고 이를 바탕으로 울진의 실정에 어울리는 문화지도와 그에 대한 향후계획을 설계해 본 것이다. 그러므로 이 연구는 다양한 학문을 아우르는 교차연구로써 그 범위가 매우 넓다. 이 연구에서 제시한 울진정신 문화지도로써 忠孝烈의 길(道)은 울진정신의 DNA(正體性 ; 現在)로써, 지나온 울진정신의 길(集積 ; 過去)이었고, 또한 향후 울진정신이 나아가야 할 길(방법과 방향 설계 ; 未來)이다. 이 연구에서 선정된 忠孝烈 碑 · 閣은 울진의 전통문화와 울진정신의 寶庫이자 울진의 역사적 아이덴티티를 지켜주는 堡壘이다.

This study is a preliminary analysis on Uljin spirit found in the local cultural atlas. A literature review of Uljin annals was conducted, followed by an investigation into the existing monuments and pavilions built to commemorate the Chung(忠)-Hoi(孝)-Yeul’(烈) virtues that occurred in the local area. In addition, interviews about these virtues were made with the descendants of the people who did the virtues. The findings from this investigation are to be used to design a cultural atlas reflecting the circumstances of Uljin, which made it necessary for the scope of this study to be cross-disciplinary to a great degree. The virtue of Chung(忠)-Hoi(孝)-Yeul(烈) presented in Uljin cultural atlas in this study is the core of Uljin spirit, giving insight into what Uljin spirit was like in the past and what it should in the future. The monuments and pavilions designated in this study are not only valuable resources of Uljin spirit but also give a historical identity to Uljin.
