Analysis of Biomimicry Behavioral Level-based Art Makeup Design

This study applied biomimicry behavioral levels to functional imitation reclassified into morphological and structural imitations and applied this to art makeup design with a goal of finding creative design conceptions. For this, a review of the literature and previous studies was created and an analysis of cases in which biomimicry was applied was performed. Based on this analysis, biomimicry design was applied to art makeup design. The analysis results show that the biomimicry behavioral level in art makeup imitates the physical shape that appears in the living creature’s function as well as invisible biological principles and structures. In addition, it is performed in plane work and expressed with reinforcing materials and objects. Further study should be undertaken on its applicability in the beauty industry and methods for approach through the analysis and observation of biomimicry applications for a more systematic and scientific biomimicry design.
