A Study on Notion and Romanticism of ChÍnese Poems of Lim Je

The purpo of this study is to research notion and romanticism of chinese poems of urn Je. This way, 1 wanted to tes his conception of writer as an historical person and to testify his real feature throu the beauty of his writings. Especially with poems of beautiful mind, wanted to extract expressive beauty only from the poems with theìr subject as kisaeng, escaping from existing studies with simple materials. Iscussions were as follows; First, there prevailed social absurdity like disorder of politics, drou1t, starvation, tax, extortion, wandering, excessive labor, military service, poverty, covetous officials and contradiction of social station systems. He was bom is this age and had a bureaucratic life not joining any parties. Therefore, he showed romantic, lyríc and resistant poem world. Second, 1 researched his notion to testify his concept of beauty of poems. Therefore 1 confirmed his notion of Confucianism, Buddhism Taoism. He showed Confucian concept on the basis of individual experience escaping from conception. In the writings expressed Buddhism, he wanted to show pure mind escaping from dirty world. He pursued spiritual shelter in an old buddha, and it rne free expression of rnind and is interpreted as criticisrn and resisting rnind against real world by denying hurnan condition of lives. ùrd, confirrned his personality and concept of history in poetic objects and rornanticisrn. It is different frorn the concept of generaI Confucianists in 16C. It is this point on which his rornantic feature is ernphasized. (1) 1 could confirrn his poetic a야itude like wandering disposition, absorption into pure natural beauty, co-existence of seIf-reflection speaker facing poetic attitude in ’discovery of natural beauty and lyric fulfillrnent. He showed specific character by connecting internal reflection directly from concept of creative activity and literature of Taoisrn. Above all, concurrent of natural beauty and lyric fulfillrnent is underlined. ( He recognized reality and made it as a vehicle to seIf-reflection m ’reality recognition and resisting rornanticism. In other words, he recognized his situation of real seIf 0벼ecti、rely, and he showed confronting conception against reality by accusing contradiction and absurdity in his age. And through his works derived frorn rornanticism induded in lyric mind, J could find his recognition on his concept for the reality. (3) 1 studied on the works with tranquility, funeral poern, love, divorce, difficulty, hardship and good expression in ’poetic experience and routine work of beautiful mind. He made hirnseIf as female speaker not only to rus poetic 0비ects(kisaeng) but also to other person(kisaeng)’s poetic 0ec. His convert as female speaker is understood as a random reflection to his poetic 0비ects, and a natural poetic attitude from poetic emotion.
