Purpose To evaluate the automatic quality control program for minimize an error by person whom it measures of the phantom test in computed tomographic quality control examination. Material and Methods Quality control of phantom image were measured by conventional method and our new automatic quality control program. The Hough transformation was used for searching a circle and line composing of phantom image, and Canny’s method also was used in detection of edge. Results 1. A difference of attenuation coefficient of water was ranged from 0.3HU to 1.0HU, and mean difference was 0.13HU. 2. A difference of noise was ranged from 0HU to 0.1HU, and mean difference was 0.08HU. 3. There was a difference of 0.1HU in uniformity, and results were same in beam alignment accuracy test. 4. A difference in spatial resolution test was ranged from 0mm to 0.25mm, and mean difference was 0.19mm. 5. A difference of length accuracy test was ranged from 0mm to 0.2mm, and mean difference was 0.15mm between image and real phantom. And ranged 0 to 1 degree, and mean difference was 0.5 degree at angle accuracy test between image and real phantom. 6. A difference in contrast resolution test was ranged from 0mm to 6.3mm, and mean difference was 3.15mm. 7. A difference was ranged from 0.1mm to 0.3mm in 5mm slice thickness test, and mean difference was 0.23mm. And ranged from 0.8mm to 1.2mm, and mean difference was 0.8mm in 10mm slice thickness test. Conclusion An each items by our automatic quality control program for quality control in CT were showed a value less than standard one, we expect CT quality control can be examined by automatic program, if more systematic study is done.
