CT TDC(Time Density Curve)를 이용한 뇌 수막종의 유용성 분석

Purpose To find the time required for the various tumors including the meningioma as well the surrounding arteries and veins to reach the contrast media through the use of time density curve. Materials and Methods Ninety meningioma confirmed patients were studied with the use of 16MDCT from the time period between April of 2005 to March of 2006. Out of these 90 patients, 19 were male, 71 were female, and the average age for the male group was 52 and for the female group was 51. The investigation method was divided into three groups -Type A, Type B, and Type C- and each group had 30 members. The contrast media injection speed was 4ml/sec and the contrast media total volume was set as 150ml. The monitoring delay caused by the Bolus Tracking was 24sec. The contrast media volume and delay time were altered to find the mean, maximum, and minimum values of the CT number for each tumor, vein, and artery. These values were further used to compute the time density curve. Results The contrast media arrival time for the meningioma turned out to be different caused by the tumor type, volume, and also by the duration of the scan time. However, when the examination was made at 45sec after the one time injection of the cm of 150ml and 4ml/sec, we were able to find homogeneous enchance effects of the tumor, vein, and artery image. Conclusion The examination 45 seconds after the one time injection of the contrast media of 150ml, 4ml/sec based on the data mentioned above, and the VR and subtraction angiography image were able to be reformed. Adequate enchance time led to the finding of the location of the normal tissue and tumor’s boundaries as well as location. Examination time could be estimated in advance allowing reduction in reexamination as well as possibly being useful in establishing the treatment plans for pre-operative in the future.
