대학생의 취업스트레스와 사회적지지 및 대학생활적응이 자살생각에 미치는 영향

The Effects of College Students’ Job-seeking Stress, Social Support and Adjustment to College Life on their Suicidal Ideation

본 연구의 목적은 대학생의 취업스트레스와 사회적지지 및 대학생활적응이 자살생각에 미치는 영향에 대하여 살펴보는데 있다. 이를 위하여 부산 지역 4년제 대학교(5개교)에 재학 중인 남․여 학생 300명을 대상으로 취업스트레스, 사회적지지, 대학생 활적응, 자살생각 검사를 실시하였다. 이 중 성실하게 응답된 설문지 274부를 최종분석에 사용하였다. 본 연구의 자료분석을 위해 SPSS 21.0 프로그램을 사용하였으며, 상관분석과 회귀분석, 위계적 회귀분석을 실시하였다. 연구결과를 통해 얻어진 결론은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 취업스트레스가 높을수록 대학생의 자살생각이 높아진다. 둘째, 사회적지지가 높을수록 대학생의 자살생각이 낮아진다. 셋째, 대학생활적응이 높을수록 대학생의 자살생각이 높아진다. 넷째, 자살생각에 미치는 영향력은 사회적지지, 대학생활적응, 취업스트레스 순으로 나타나 자살생각에 미치는 상대적 영향력은 차이가난다. 이러한 결과는 대학생의 자살생각은 대학생활적응, 취업스트레스의 영향을 받기도 하지만 사회적지지에 의해 상쇄될 수 있다는 것을 의미한다.

The purpose of this study was to determine the effects of college students’ job-seeking stress, social support and adjustment to college life on their suicidal ideation. For this purpose, the study made a questionnaire survey of 300 male and female students attending some 4-year universities(5 schools) located in Busan, in order to measure their job-seeking stress, social support, adjustment to college life and suicidal ideation. Of the collected sheets of the questionnaire, then, 274 that were deemed faithfully filled-in were finally analyzed here. Data analysis was made using the SPSS 21.0 Program. The findings of this study can be summarized as follows. First, the higher college students are in job-seeking stress, the more they are in suicidal ideation. Second, the more college students are given social support, the less their suicidal ideation is. Third, the better college students are in adjustment to college life, the more they are in suicidal ideation. Fourth, the three factors of college students’ suicidal ideation are relatively different from each other in influence. Specifically, the most influential is social support, followed by adjustment to college life and job-seeking stress. These findings suggest that college students’ suicidal ideation are affected by their adaptation to college life and job-seeking stress, but it may be offset by their social support.
