This study assesses whether multicultural families are being effectively assimilated into the Korean education system. This is done by making two comparisons: Korean born parents to Foreign born parents, and multicultural children to “Korean” children. The comparison made focuses on perceptions of schooling and the school environment using the survey Attitudes Towards School and Schooling which is based on Waugh & Cavanagh’s Parent Attitudes towards Classroom Environment and Educational Outcomes (Waugh & Cavanagh, 2002). 7 categories were created, then T-testing was used to assess whether there were statistically significant differences in each group’s perceptions. According to the survey conducted in this study there was no statistically significant differences between the “Korean” groups and the “multicultural” groups.
