공감 능력을 활용한 통일교육 방안 모색

A Research on Unification Education Plan Utilizing Empathy Ability

남북관계는 화해와 협력 대신 갈등과 대결로 점철된 지 꽤 오래됐다. 남북한은 공동 번영 대신 항구적인 남북대결 구조 속에 빠져 있다. 이제는 대북정책과 대북인식의 전환이 불가 피한 때에 이른 것이다. 남북한 주민의 공감에 기초한 남북 대화와 협력이 진정한 통일을 가능케 해줄 것이다. 특히 많은 것을 공유하다 분단된 남북한 간의 통일을 위해 그리고 통일 이후 심리·문화적 통합을 위해서도 공감 능력은 필수적이다. 이런 전제하에 본고에서는 공감에 대한 전반적인 의미와 내용, 남북한의 통일 노력과 남북한의 이질화 현상을 살펴볼 것이다. 공감 개념과 남북한 이질화 실상의 탐구를 통해 남북한 주민에 대한 공감 영역을 확장을 위한 통일교육의 방안을 도출하고자 한다.

North-South relations have been stayed in conflict and confrontation instead of reconciliation and cooperation for a long time. North and South Korea are caught in a permanent conflict structure instead of partnership prosperity. We are now in the inevitable time of the transition of North Korea policy and the perception toward North Korea. The inter-Korean dialogue and cooperation based on sympathy between North and South Koreans will secure a truly Korean unification. Empathy particularly is essential also for psychological and cultural integration to North and South Koreans who have been in the divided state for a long time. Under this premise, this paper will explore about the overall meaning of empathy, the heterogeneity between North and South Koreans, efforts for Korean unification. This paper would like to draw up a plan for unification education to expand the area of empathy for between South and North Koreans.
