The Effects of Leisure Constraints on the Leisure Attitudes of the University Sudents

The purpose of this empirical study was to examine the factors affecting the leisure attitudes and the participation level of leisure activities of undergraduates between the leisure attitudes and their constraint level of leisure activities by the statistical analysis method. This study was to analyze the effects of student’s demographic variables on the leisure attitudes and the relationship of the student’s demographic variables and attitudes on the their leisure constraints. For the purpose. 180 undergraduate students who were inhabited in Gangneung city, Korea were given questionnaires. Data analysis was used by mean, t-test, ANOVA and multiple regression analysis. The result of reliability was a=.789~.892. The major results are summarized as follows: First, the educational attainment of respondent’s parent only affected the behavioral factors. Second, the economic factor was the significant factor to affect the interpersonal constraint of leisure attitudes and the participation level of leisure activities. Third, the behavioral factor affected the economic constraint and there was a significant relationship between the feeling factors and family constraint.
