A Study on the Organic Characteristics on the Residential Architecture of Bruce Goff

The changing prevailing values and ideas of an age have transformed the logic and concepts of architecture. Contemporary architecture in the 21st century aims to show its dismantling and departure from modern architecture based on rationality such as reductionism and functionalism. This implies a shift from a mechanical view of the world to an organic and ecological view of the world, and from deterministic to non-deterministic considerations to the causes of non-static possibilities. In particular, organic qualities and principles have been a rich source of inspiration for architects. The aim of this study is to assess the organic properties of Bruce Alonzo Goff s architecture and to evaluate aspects of unusual architecture as a 20th century American architect. The analytical review results will be used to propose strategies and guidelines for the organic construction of residential buildings into the future. It is important to continue similar research to show new possibilities for reinterpretation of organic structures at the same time and creating new ones.
