A preliminary determination of latitude and longitude of the KONG-JU NATIONAL TEACHER S UNIVERSITY OBSERVATORY has been made using TM-1A theodolite in july and august, 1986. The result obtained is ϕ=36°28 29 .5(±2 ), λ=127°08 26 .7(±40 ). It is however, too early to make any conclusion on this determination, but should be awaited until repeated reinvestigations are made by those of this field of work utilizing the precise equipments and methods.
