Being the thinking development of learner regarded as one of main goals in curricula, the theoretical studies on the thinking development of learner have been diversely developed. These studies are based upon the four-following theories ; content-strategy integrated theory, content non-related theory, content-specific theory and process oriented theory. The content-strategy integrated theory among these theories has been regarded as the most propriate one in developing thinking of subject domain. This study also regarded the content-strategy integrated theory as the most propriate one in the thinking instruction and the advanced experimental case-studies on thinking instruction based upon the content-strategy integrated theory were reviewed and their problems were analyzed for the purpose of building the basic system of content-instruction. The results of this study are as follows ; Firstly, the content-strategy integrated thinking instruction shall be composed of learning opportunities on thinking knowledge, thinking operation and thinking desposition. Secondly, the content-strategy integrated thinking instruction shall be developed in such orders as pretest, introduction, practice, transfer and elaboration, posttest and attainment to achievement level (or non-attainment to achievement level and feed-back). Thirdly, in accessment of the content-strategy integrate thinking instruction, paper and pencil test focusing on thinking knowledge and observation test focusing on thinking operation and thinking desposition shall be simultaneously applied.
