Effects of attachment on social development and cognitive development in early childhood

The purpose of this study was to review the effects of attachment on social and cognitive development in early childhood. Positive attachment relationship with parents has positive effects on early children. Especially, attachment shaped in infant period has stability. So infant shaped positive attachment displays positive relationship with peer and teacher. This means that attachment has positive effects on social development in early childhood. At the same time, stable attachment children have high cognitive ability(high self-esteem, high ability in problem solving). Until now, most of attachment study concentrated upon infant and early childhood. So in the future, I expect to accomplish more attachment study about late childhood.
