How to teach english in english in EFL classes

Starting in 2001, the Ministry of Education has announces English be required to be taught in English for at least one hour a week. The main aim of learning a language is to learn to communicate in that language. However, many Korean English try but fail to use English in the classroom. The main reason is a lack of English ability. Another reason is the current college entrance examination system. It doesn’t test the ability to speak English. Moreover, there are not enough studies on the explicit techniques of how to teach English in English. The goal of this study is to facilitate designating of English classes and teaching English in English, particularly from the teacher’s perspectives. For this purpose, this study includes four research issues: (ⅰ) the theories of language acquisition that support the target language use and the studies on the target language use in teaching a foreign language; (ⅱ) the strategies to help students understand what the teacher says; (ⅲ) the dialogs based on social, personal and organizational uses according to the teaching procedures; (ⅳ) the teaching techniques and demonstration according to the language skills.
