The Moderating Effects of Environmental Uncertainty and Logistics Information Systems on Supply Chain Integration and Performance of International Logistics Firms

국제물류기업의 공급사슬통합과 성과에 미치는 환경의 불확실성과 물류정보시스템의 중재효과분석

Purpose : The aims of this study are to verify the moderating effects of environmental uncertainty and logistics systems on environmental uncertainty and logistics information systems of international logistics firms. Research design, data, methodology : To achieve the objective, this study collected 163 data from international logistics firms. The validity of the data is verified by a factor analysis and the reliability is proved by Cronbach’s alpha. Hypotheses are analyzed by regression analyses. Results : First, environmental uncertainty enhances the relationship between supply chain integration and cost saving. Second, logistics information systems enhance the relationship between supply chain integration and performance. Conclusions : The results are as follows. International logistics firms should achieve internal integration and external integration to response to variance of environment and as a result, they attain the efficiency of supply chain processes. In addition, they share information internal and external viewpoints of firms by logistics information systems, followed by high performance.

본 연구의 목적은 공급사슬통합과 성과 간의 관계에 미치는 환경의 불확실성과 물류정보 시스템의 중재효과를 확인하는 것이다. 본 연구의 모집단은 국제물류기업이고 해운선사 및 국제운송주선인을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였다. 회수된 자료는 다중회귀분석, 군집분석, 분산분석, 다변량 분산분석 및 사후분석을 통해 분석되었다. 분석결과는 다음과 같다. 환경의 불확실성은 공급사슬통합과 비용절감 간의 관계를 강화한다. 국제물류기업은 환경의 변화에 대응하기 위해 내부통합과 외부통합을 달성하고 이에 따라 공급사슬 프로세스의 효율성을 높인다. 또한 물류정보시스템은 공급사슬통합과 성과 간의 관계를 강화한다. 국제물류기업은 물류정보시스템을 통하여 기업 내외부의 정보를 공유함으로써 높은 성과를 달성한다.
