지역 뮤지컬의 비시장적 가치 평가 :

Measuring the Non-Market Values of Regional Musical Performances : A Case Study of Andong s Sansusilkyoung

현재 지방자치단체 차원에서 일어나고 있는 지역문화에 대한 관심과 부흥을 위한 노력, 그리고 지역을 대표하는 브랜드를 창조하고 홍보하기 위한 정책은 이제 단순한 지역발전을 위한 홍보차원의 지역정책을 넘어서 지역을 통합하고 산업과 경제를 진흥하기 위한 미래전략에서 핵심적인 기능을 수행하고 있다. 따라서 각 지역 차원에서 문화적 부가가치가 높은 새로운 아이디어를 바탕으로 지역의 문화상품을 개발하고 이것을 바탕으로 지역의 관광산업과 연계하여 새로운 소득원으로 창출하고자 하는 노력이 매우 중요한 상황이다. ‘정신문화의 수도’로 열려져 있는 경상북도 안동시의 경우, 풍부하게 보유하고 있는 지역의전통유산과 무형의 문화적 자산을 바탕으로 창작 뮤지컬을 제작하여 지역의 홍보와 관광산업의 진흥을 위해 노력하고 있다. 이 연구는 산수실경 뮤지컬의 비시장적 가치를 조건부 가치측정법에 활용하여 평가하였다. 1.5경계 모형을 통해 창작 뮤지컬 산수실경의 핵심을 이루는 왕의 나라와 부용지애에 대한 비시장적 가치를 추정한 결과, 각각 6,387원과 7,506원이 도출되었다. 이러한 가치는 지역의 문화(특히, 공연)사업을 기반으로 하는 지역 진흥정책의 가능성을 시사한다.

Policies for promoting local cultural heritage and community festivals in Korea are nowadays considered to be one of the most effective driving force of regional development. Local governments have also keen interests in the intrinsic cultural assets and contents for the promotion of regional image and their local economies. Especially, the city Andong in Gyeongsangbuk-Do, well-known for the capitol of spiritual culture in Korea, has performed since 2010 several creative musical performances based on the Korean traditional culture. Among them, Andong’s Sansusilkyoung is very popular. The case of Andong means that the community performing arts can be a vehicle for attracting tourists around the world, and also it be a good opportunity for the local tourism industry. In the context, the study aims to measure the non-market values of Andong Sansusilkyoung Musical Performance. For the aim, we will apply the one-and-one-half bound contingent valuation method. The randomly selected samples of 314 households in the city residents were asked the questions through face-to-face interviews about how much they will pay to support the Andong Sansusilkyoung Musical Performance. The average WTP of the respondents amounts from 6,387 to 7,506 Won per year. The result insights the possibility of the local development strategy through the public investment on the creative local musical performance.
