In the sequence of a previous conceptual research about creativity and the relation between territorial agglometarion and the development of creative process in cultural production, a survey was developed and applied to cultural “creators” in Portuguese urban areas, in order to understand their perceptions about their creative processes, the economic organization of their activity and its institutional framework. Some of the results of this survey are analyzed and discussed, with the focus on the issues related to the symbolic and cultural intermediation. Some preliminary conclusions are drawn, having in mind the promotion of cultural-based sustainable urban creative dynamics.
