In this study, to gain a variety of composite wire welded on the excavator toothpoint with composite powders. Compared welding characteristics and overlay method, the experimental results obtained as follows ; 1. Alloy steel overlay fabricated by composite powders obtained typical martensite structure. And, especially overlays fabricated by feeding of composite powders with 60g/min had similiar microstructures with overlay fabricated by FCAW. 2. The wear resistance of overlay increased with increase of feeding rate of composite powders. Wear resistance of overlay manufatured by feeding of composite powders rate 60g/min had improved than that of overlay by FCAW. 3. Compare characteristics in welding method obtained higher result cascade method than build up method.
