魯迅의 유일한 연애소설이자 反연애소설인 《傷逝》를 스크린으로 옮긴 영화 『傷逝』는 水華가 魯迅 탄생 100주년을 기념하여 제작한 영화이다. 본고에서는 水華 감독이 메가폰을 잡고 영상화한 동명의 영화 『傷逝』의 주제를 원작 《傷逝》과의 비교를 중심으로 고찰하였다. 영화 『傷逝』에서는 5.4시기 지식인 청년의 실천적인 면모와 각성하는 涓生의 모습을 부각시키고자 하였다. 이를 통해 비난받는 涓生의 결정과 행위에 대해 설득력과 이해를 부여하는 데에 주안점을 두었음을 알 수 있다. 영화에서는 원작소설의 문학성을 살려 영상에서 그대로 재현하는 가운데 소설에는 없는 내용상의 몇 가지 장치와 요소들을 추가 배치함으로써 영상미와 예술적 완성도를 높였다고 평가할 수 있다.
Regret for the Past is a film by director Shui Hua, commemorating the 100th anniversary of Lu Xun’s birth, with the same title movie Regret for the Past on Lu Xun’s only love story and anti-love novel. In this paper, I focused on the comparison between Lu Xun novel Regret for the Past and director Shui Hua’s film Regret for the Past. Director Shui Hua intends to highlight Juan Sheng, a young intellectual of his day, who is practicing and awakening. It can be seen that this focuses on giving persuasiveness and understanding to Juan Sheng’s decisions and actions that are criticized by people. In the film, the literary character of the original novel is utilized to reproduce it as it is in the image, and it is appreciated that the visual beauty and artistic completeness is improved by arranging some devices and elements in the contents which are not in the novel. After Zi Jun’s suicide, his series of confessions may have been empty, contradictory, and a sort of self-deceptive aspect because he has blurred the problem of responsibility. In the film, the scenes of Juansheng and Zijun symbolizing communication and bondage are revealed through the scene of the two of them winding the yarn together. In the second same scene, the barriers to dialogue with Zijun and the yarn that was winding together are eventually cut off by Jujanheng, who is thought of by himself. This implies a catastrophic ending of love that seemed to be eternal. The reason why they left Ji Zhao Hutong, where they lived together, was not because of the blindness and scoffing, but because now he is responsible for the new meaning of A Sui. Through his painful experiences, Juan Sheng shows a humanly mature face to take responsibility instead of escape. A Sui is no longer a burdensome burden but a part of his responsibility and a precious meaning of life. Juan Sheng rose from despair in a newly formed relationship with A Sui, and was able to endure the hopes of the future.
