백워드 설계 모형을 활용한 이해중심 도덕과 단원 설계

Design of elementary moral unit based on backward design

이 연구는 백워드 설계 모형을 활용하여 이해중심 도덕과 단원 설계에 주는 시사점을 도출하는 데 연구의 목적이 있다. 이 연구에서는 도덕과 ‘아껴 쓰는 우리’ 단원을 백워드 설계 모형의 절차, 즉 바라는 결과 확인, 수용 가능한 증거 결정, 학습경험 과 수업 계획하기의 순서에 의하여 설계하였다. 첫째, 이 연구에서는 백워드 설계 아이디어 조직자를 활용하여, ‘아껴 쓰는 우리’ 단원에 대한 영속한 이해, 6가지 이해의 측면, 본질적 질문, 핵심 지식과 핵심 기능을 추출하였다. 둘째, 이 연구에서는 GRASPS 기법에 따라 2개의 수행과제와 분석적 루브릭을 개발하고, 기타 다양한 평가방법으로 서술형 평가, 보고서 평가, 구술평가, 자기 평가 등을 제시하였다. 셋째,이 연구에서는 총 33개의 교수-학습 활동을 6차시로 구성하여 학습경험과 수업을 계 획하였다. 넷째, 이 연구에서는 ‘아껴 쓰는 우리’ 단원에 대한 백워드 설계 템플릿(1쪽)을 개발하였다. 백워드 설계 모형을 활용하여 이해중심 도덕과 단원을 설계한 결과, 백워드 설계 모형은 단원 설계자들에게 도덕과 교과의 구조를 이해하고, 평가와 수업 설계 전문성과 재구성 능력을 향상시킬 수 있을 가능성을 보여주었다. 이 연구가 단원 설계자들에게 ‘수행으로서 이해’를 목적으로 이해중심의 도덕과 단원을 설계하는 데 예시 자료 또는 지침으로 활용되기를 기대한다.

This study aims to design elementary moral unit based on backward design. “A saving material and time” unit was designed the three stages of backward design. First, researcher consider the goal of unit. In order to identify desired results of unit, this study reviewed the goal, scope, content, achievement standards of the 2015 revised elementary moral curriculum, teacher guide book and textbook. And this study developed enduring understandings, the six facets of understanding, essential questions, specific knowledge and skill on unit. Second, researcher consider evidence of learning on unit. This study developed 2 authentic task using GRASPS, analytic scoring rubric, the other evidence for understanding on unit. Third, researcher planed learning experiences and instruction for student to engage and effective learning activities using the WHERETO elements. This study developed 6 lesson, and 33 learning experience on unit. Fourth, this study presented 1-page template on unit. Study findings will be provide implications that backward design will contribute to teacher’s professional growth as curriculum designer, evaluator and instruction designer on moral curriculum unit. Therefore backward design could be useful of unit design and development, lesson plan studies, assessment, teacher education program on moral curriculum.
