유치원 숲 활동에 대한 교사와 학부모의 인식 연구

A Study on Recognition about Forest Activity between Teachers and Parents

본 연구는 유치원에서 실시하고 있는 숲 활동에 대한 교사와 학부모의 인식에 대해 알아보고자 하였다. 이를 위해 U시 교사 150명, 학부모 141명을 대상으로 2016년 7월 1일부터 2016년 7월 25일까지 조사연구를 실시한 후, SPSS 분석을 하였다. 연구 결과 본 연구에서는 숲 활동에 대한 교육적 효과에 대해 각 영역별로 교사와 학부모의 인식 차이가 나타나며, 부모의 기대가 교사보다 높은 것으로 나타났다. 반면 일반적인 문제점의 경우 안전문제와 교육 환경문제를 중심으로 교사의 문제점 인식이 학부모에 비해 높은 것으로 나타났다. 교사들은 이러한 숲 활동에 대해 개인적 측면, 교육적 측면의 만족과 함께 동료교사 및 학부모에게 숲 활동을 추천하고자 하는 의도가 높았으며, 교사와 학부모는 숲 활동의 발전 방향 인식에서 학부모 교육을 가장 중요하게 생각하는 것으로 나타났다.

This study was aimed at studying recognition about operating and supporting forest activities for development of the activities between teachers and parents. The study was conducted on 150 teachers who experienced forest activities and 141 parents whose parents experienced forest activities to study their recognition about the activities, general problems that may happen during the activities, educational problems that may happen during the activities, and attitude and satisfaction level about the forest activities. The results of this study are as following. First, in terms of recognition the activities and problems that may happen during the activities, the parents had higher recognition than the teachers. It means the parents have high expectation on children’s forest activities which indicate that the parents are fully aware of the problems of urbanization. Second, the largest problem experienced by the teachers during the forest activities was what was related to children followed by problems that happened due to the activity situation and instruction. Third, the teachers had a positive attitude about the forest activities, showing that the activities are beneficial to both children and teachers as they recognized the activities were helpful to individual development and to get good reaction from the children. In conclusion, as the teachers and the parents recognize the effect of the forest activities, there shall be a study to remove obstacles and operate the activities more efficiently. In particular, the organizations shall find a proper method for the forest activity depending on their size. The forest activities have been focusing on evaluating the advantages of the activities or recognition about the educational value so far. However, since many kindergartens are operating the forest education, there shall be studies about the educational environment such as the proper forest for education, evaluation on the components of the forests and effective way for cooperative education among small kindergartens.
