숲해설가의 교수경험에 대한 사례연구

A Case Study on the Teaching Experiences of Forest Interpreters

이 연구는 숲해설가가 교육활동 과정에서 어떠한 교수경험을 하는지 알아보는데 목적이 있다. 숲해설가의 교수경험을 미시적으로 분석하기 위하여 질적연구방법 중에서 사례연구를 실시하였다. 2018년 2월부터 2개월동안 연구 참여자 3명로부터 면 담자료, 활동사진, 신문기사 등의 자료를 수집하여 분석하였고, 연구 참여자 확인과 동료연구원 검증을 실시하여 타당도를 확보하였다. 본 연구의 주요한 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 숲해설가의 교육 목적은 학생들이 자연을 바라보면서 인간을 이해하고, 더불어 살아가는 방법을 깨달을 수 있도록 노력하는데 있었다. 숲해설가는 숲에서 지식을 전달하는데 강조점을 두지 않고, 인간의 품성을 선하게 변화시키는데 주안점을 두고 있었다. 둘째, 숲해설가는 학생들이 숲이라는 공간에서 마음을 열고, 수업에 집중할 수 있도록 신체활동을 적극적으로 활용하고 있었다. 또한, 문학을 이용하여 학생들의 마음을 치유하고, 긍정적인 감정을 가지도록 노력하였다. 셋째, 숲해설가는 학생과 동료의 눈을 통해 자신의 수업을 반성하고, 교육역량을 함양하기 위해 노력하고 있었다.

The purpose of this study is to find out what kind of teaching experience the forest interpreters has in the educational activities. A case study was conducted among the qualitative research methods to microscopically analyze the instructional objectives, teaching and learning strategies and evaluation methods of the forest interpreters. Data from interviews, activity photos, and newspaper articles from three researchers were collected and analyzed for two months from February 2018. Confirmation of research participants and peer researchers were verified to ensure validity. The main results of this study are as follows. First, the educational purpose of the forest interpreters was not to focus on knowledge of plants or animals. Rather, the forest interpreters was trying to make students understand human while looking at nature and how to live together. Second, the forest interpreters was using physical activities so that students could open their minds and concentrate on classes when teaching in forests. In addition, they tried to use literature to heal students minds and to have positive emotions. Third, the forest interpreters was trying to reflect and improve his class through the eyes of students and colleagues.
