본 연구는 대학 과학영재교육원에 소속된 중학교 학생들이 수행한 R&E의 결과를 바탕으로 이루어졌다. 두 정사각수의 합이 정사각수가 되는 경우를 표현하는 것이 피타고라스 세 수이다. 본 연구에서는 두 삼각수의 합이 삼각수가 되는 경우를 표현하는 삼각 피타고라스 세 수를 구하는 방법을 연구하였다.
This research is based on the result of R&E which has been studied with middle school students who belong to a university science education institute for the gifted. A Pythagorean triple represents a square number which can be expressed as a sum of two square numbers. In this research, we study how to find triangular Pythagorean triples which represent sums of two triangular numbers to be triangular numbers.
