전국역사교사모임의 역사 수업 실천과 지향 󰠏 회보 󰡔역사교육󰡕의 ‘수업이야기’를 중심으로 󰠏

Trend of History Teaching Practice through the Association of Korean History Teachers: Focused on the ‘Lesson Stories’ of magazine History Education

1988년에 결성된 전국역사교사모임은 역사교육 운동단체이자 역사교육 연구단체이다. 교사모임의 회보에 실린 역사 ‘수업이야기’는 학교 역사 수업의 성격과 방향을 가늠할 수 있는 자료로서 중요하다. 역사 ‘수업이야기’를 통해 본 교사모임의 역사 수업 실천은 지향의 지속성과 수업 방법의 진화라는 특성이 있다. 역사교사들은 모임 초창기부터 역사과 교육과정 및 교과서에 대한 비판적 태도를 견지하면서 대안을 모색하였다. 교사모임의 지향은 <한국 근&#65381;현대사>교과서 파동과 <한국사> 교과서 국정화 강행 등 역사교육의 위기 국면을 극복하는 과정에서 분명해지고 견고 해졌다. 역사 ‘수업이야기’의 근현대사 수업 사례가 많아지고, 민주주의, 평화 등의 가치를 지향 하는 내용 재구성이 강조되었다. 교사모임 초기부터 학생의 수업 참여를 북돋우기 위해 강조되었던 사료학습, 극화학습, 토론 학습은 가치 지향적 역사 수업 내용 재구성을 뒷받침하는 방향으로 진화되었다. 역사교사들은 이전보다 학생의 수업 반응과 역사 인식을 구체적으로 확인하고, 그것을 바탕으로 자신의 수업을 성찰하여 배움이 있는 역사 수업을 만들어나갔다. 지난 시기 교사모임의 역사 수업 실천에 있어 가장 큰 변수는 역사과 교육과정 개정과 교과서 개발 등 역사교육내용에 대한 정책 변동과 사회적 논쟁이었다. 이는 교사모임의 역사교육 운동단체로서의 성격을 부각시키고 내부 역량을 집중시켰다. 역사교육 정책의 구체적이고 실질적인 개선을 비롯한 현장 역사교육의 질적인 변화를 이끌어 내기 위해서는 교사모임의 역사교육 연구단체로서의 저력과 성과가 뒷받침되어야 한다. 교사모임의 역사 수업 실천과 지향을 통해 볼 때 역사수업연구는 역사 수업의 주체와 학교 안팎의 교육 여건 및 관련 논의를 고려하여 총체적이고 복합적인 인식을 추구하는 방향으로 수행될 필요가 있다. 주제어_역사교사, 전국역사교사모임, 역사 수업 실천, 역사 수업 내용 재구성, 역사 수업 방법 정미란은 교사의 역사 수업 구

The association of Korean History Teachers is in an important position as a research group and an exercise group related to history education. It has been publishing a quarterly magazine History Education, the ‘Lesson Stories’ in the magazine is very meaningful as a material to study a aspect and direction of history teaching practice of history teachers. History teaching practice through history ‘Lesson Stories’ was characterized by persistence of orientation and change of practice method. The orientation of the association became more evident in the process of overcoming the crisis related to history education, such as waves of ‘Korean modern history textbooks’ and ‘Korean history textbooks nationalization’. This was embodied in history class contents reconstruction of emphasizing values of democracy, peace and human rights and so on. From the earliest days of the association, the method of historical material, drama, and discussion, which had been emphasized to encourage students to participate in history teaching, evolved to support reconstruction of value&#985103;oriented history teaching contents. In particular, the history teachers tried to make a history teaching by confirming the student s response to the teaching and the history perception in detail and reflecting and supplementing. At last season the most important variable in the history class practice of the association was the offensive of political on history education contents such as history curriculum revision and textbook development. This emphasized the character of the association as a historical education&#985103;related movement group, and has concentrated and exhausted their internal capabilities.
