대학생의 ‘내 삶의 직업 찾기’ 프로젝트가 학업적 흥미도 및 직업 준비도에 미치는 효과

Effect of career exploring activities in college course on student’s academic interest and career readiness

본 연구는대학생들의 진로교육에 대한 관심과 필요성에따라‘내 삶의 직업 찾기’ 프로젝트를 개발해 그 효과를 알아보기 위한 것으로, 본 수업 수강생 26명을 대상으로 단일군전-후 실험연구와 질적 연구를 병행하여 그 효과를 검증하였다. 특히, 단순한 직업조사에 그치지 않고 전생애에 걸친 평생 학습의개념 속에서 진로를 설계하도록 한 것으로 ‘내 삶의직업찾기프로젝트에참여할학생을대상으로학업적흥미도사전검사를실시하였으며, 100세시대를 대비한자신의 인생계획을 점검하도록 하였다. 우선, 1,000여개의 직업을 조사하고 4단계에걸쳐지워가는 과정을 통해 자신에게적합한직업을 찾아내도록하였으 며 마지막으로 나에게 적합한 5～6개의 직업의 우선순위를 정하였다. 또한 우선순위로 결정된 직업들을 바탕으로 같은 직업군에 해당하는 학생들끼리 모여 토론의 시간을 갖고 이를 바탕으로 모둠별 토론 보고서 및 개인 성찰문을 작성하였으며 이 과정에서 나타나는 직업 준비도 관련 요인을 종합·분석하였다. 마지막으로 학업적 흥미도 사후검사를 실시하여 연구 효과를 검증하였다. 그 결과 ‘내 삶의 직업 찾기’ 프로젝트를 수행한 학생들의 학업적흥미도는모두사전․사후간에유의미한차이가있었으며, 모둠별보고서와개인성 찰문을 분석한 결과 직업 준비도에도 긍정적인 영향을 주었음을 확인하였다. 본 연구에서 도출된 ‘내 삶의 직업 찾기’ 프로젝트의 자료와 그 효과는 향후 대학생들의 전생애에 걸친 진로·직업 관련 연구와 진로 개발 프로그램에 활용될 수 있다는데 의의가 있을 것이다.

This research developed ‘Find my life job’ project and investigate its effect on undergraduate’s learning interest and vocational readiness. This research developed, implemented and evaluated ‘Find my life job’ project that targets undergraduates. The project includes multiple activities such as 100-year life plan design, 4-steps to list priorities among 1,000 jobs, group discussion with participants who choose the same job and personal report. The participants of the research were 26 undergraduates of K university who took ‘curriculum’ course. To evaluate the effectiveness of the project, ex ante and ex post survey of learning interest were conducted and group and personal reports were analyzed. As a result, the ex ante and ex post survey showed significant difference in situational interest and personal interest of the participants. Moreover, the report analysis confirmed that the project had a positive influence on vocational readiness. The conclusions gained on the foundation of the research results are as below: First, ‘Find my life job’ project can grow an undergraduate’s learning interest and vocational readiness. Second, it seems grouping participants who chose the same job and discussing amongst themselves have a better effect on increasing sense of vocational preparation than letting one carry out career activities alone. By sharing information and experience, participants set the stage of ‘cooperation.’Third, there needs to be a systematic management of career program in college education. Fourth, career programs should be consisted of common programs according to majors and differentiated programs that extends from the common programs to various fields.
