It is necessary to prepare a safety diagnosis plan due to the deterioration of the harbor structure. Therefore, the 2 MHz sonar sensor module with a resolution of 10 mm or less has been developed to be applied to the safety diagnosis of harbor structures. In order to confirm the resolution of 10mm or less, indoor test was performed and compared with 1MHz sonar. As a result, resolution was confirmed up to 3cm for 1MHz sonar and 0.8cm for 2MHz sonar. Also, the error rates of 1MHz sonar and 2MHz sonar were compared through indoor test. As a result, it was confirmed that the error rates of 12.68% for 1 MHz sonar and 4.25% for 2 MHz sonar. The developed 2MHz sonar has much higher performance than the existing 1MHz sonar sensor, and it can be applied to the harbor structure through field test.
