In order to verify the effects of sandplay therapy on the anxiety, self-esteem, and sociality of college students with blindness, this study selected eleven college students with blindness and applied sandplay therapy to them in sixty-minute sessions twice per week for a period of two months. The subjects’ questionnaire scores prior to and after the sandplay therapy were compared and their sandplay process was analyzed based on the sandplay categorical check list. Pre and post-tests were conducted using the anxiety scale for the blind, self-esteem scale, and sociality scale. According to the results of the study, sandplay therapy was effective in decreasing the anxiety of blind college students and improving their self-esteem and sociality.
