Review and Reflection of Studies on Gyoojoon Lee

Gyoojoon Lee is a prominent figure of Confucianism and traditional medicine representing southern region of Korea duringlate 19th and early 20th century, but studies on his achievements were just started merely a decade ago. We would provide foundation for the further multidisciplinary study on hislegacy. We reviewed hischronology,written works,interactionswith intellectualfigures,and current studies on his work stoprovide foundation sformore thoroughresearchonhislegacy. We found hehaswidespectrum of studie sinmedicine,confucianism,literature,humanism and philosophy duringthelate Chosundynasty, Koreanempire and Japanese colonizationperiod. He wrote twentyfivebooksindiversefields and was foundtohaveinteractions withfifty sevenfigures withidea during his lifetime which need more detailed examination. Multidisciplinary studies on Gyoojoon Lee is guaranteed for the futurein depth study on his worksincluding Buyunglon(theoryofsupportingYang)
