A Study on the Creation of Green Class rooms in Primary Schools - Focused on Green interior

In this study an attempt was made to turn primary school classrooms into ever green ones for children’s emotional development and better learning efficiency. The outcomes of this study can be summarized as follows: 1. Classrooms were turned into pleasant learning space by means of green interiors or indoor gardens. 2. Green interior decorations in a narrow classroom space looked a little compact at first. However, pupils were observed to become composed and prudent in their classrooms behaviors. 3. This study made a contribution to a practical learning through children’s direct participation in the d i sp I ay of green interior decorations. 4. Narrow classroom space forced the indoor garden to be made in the porch, which impressed a fresh image upon all the teachers and pupils as well. 5. Green interior decor a t ions made a desirable contribution to a clean and quiet classroom atmosphere as well as to a better learning efficiency. 6. Green interior decorations through pupils’ laborious participation made another educational contribution to the model examples of “teacher and pupil going together and correspondence between knowledge and behavior.” 7. Children’s laborious participation in the green interior decorations cultivated such virtues as cooperative mind, a feeling of achievement, and practiceable force, and helped them foster the spirit of labor.
