The purpose of this study is to attempt to research into strategies for efficient managing the major course of the practical arts education in elementary teacher preparation university. Because the major course of the practical arts education has widely many major fields-home management, agriculture, industry, computer etc.- in comparison with different major courses, the devided credits and lecture hours are insufficient to reflect in every field. Particularly every school attaches much importance to subjects on account of unbalanced major fields of professor composition in any case. In order to educate good preparation teachers in charge of the practical arts education, 1. the contents of the practical arts education curriculum should be changed in elementary teacher preparation university, 2. the completion hours should be ensured increasingly, 3. the teaching method should be improved, 4. the facilities of practice should be completed, 5. the practical training should be executed substantially. Besides the elementary teacher preparation curriculum should be reconsidered periodically to reflect on-the-job demands with the changes of the times and the developing speeds of the studies.
