In this paper, evaluation objective, funtion, and direction of Pratical Arts Education are investigated theoretically for the purpose of improving the Quality of Pracical Arts in elementary schools. Furthermore, based on these study, evaluation types and process of Pratical Arts were defined, and two dimentional objective classification and evaluation examples for teachers in actual place were proposed. As the results of this study, the following may be suggested. 1. Adequate education objectives corresponding to the characteristics of Practical Arts should be established first, and suitable evaluation scheme should be developed according to the established education objectives. 2. Evaluation criteria and views should be clearly shown, and the Quality of evaluation instrument should be verified and improved. 3. To induce more interest and attention among schoolchildren, cognitive evaluation should be avoided as much as possible. Various evaluation schemes, such as the evaluation based on the practical skill/observation record, self-evaluation, and mutual evaluation, etc., should be applied to meet the purpose and situation of various learnings.
