The purpose of the study is to design PBL instruction model for Elementary practical Arts Education and to see the effect of the application of PBL instruction model to the unit our living and wooden goods. To this end, literatures on the designing of PBL instruction model and the effect of its application were looked into first, and then the effect of its application to the unit our living and wooden goods on the education of practical Arts Education course was examined. For the investigation, total 61 students were sampled from the two classes of Grade 6 of S Elementary School in Busan Metropolitan City and the sample group was divided into two groups, the experimental group of 30 students and the controlled group of 31 students. And the PBL model was applied to the experimental group for the comparison with the other group in the area of recognition, function, and definition.
