초등학교 교과 내용에서의 발명교육 현황 및 발전 방향 모색

Current Status and Strategy for Development of Invention Education in Elementary School - Based at, Science, Practical art, and Arts subjects

The purpose of this study is to analyze the current status of invention education in elementary school through the content analysis of science, practical art and arts subjects which are closely related to invention education and to suggest some general development ways for invention education and some concrete measures for development by investigating cases inserted in the subjects. To achieve the purpose above, the systematic tables for invention education goals are amended and complemented in consideration of the traits and levels in the development of elementary school students. My colleagues and we have developed a material analysis frame to amend and complement the tables 3 times. In addition, we have conducted expert consultations to have the validity of our frame and analysis results tested and to get some advice from experts. The points weI made in the study are as follows: the sublevel areas should reflect subject traits in a conscious manner; the invention education material should include everyday inventions which are readily available in our lives in order to harness the imaginativeness of elementary school kids; probationary teachers should take lectures for invention education; incumbent teachers should be able to faithfully teach invention material in classes through various training programs; they should be also able to establish a system where they can share invention-related information between them; and more funds should be earmarked to complement laboratory equipment and purchase teaching tools and ingredients.
