도시와 농촌 초등학생들의 식품 기호도와 식습관에 관한 연구

A Study on Food Preferences and Dietary Habits of the Elementary School Children in Urban area and Rural area

We research sixth grade students who are in vigorous growing from seventeen elementary schools which chosen random in Chonnam to find out food preference and dietary habits. The study was carried out on 403, 6th grade students (urban area : 199, rural area : 204). The results are summarized as follows ; First, about general characteristics, urban area students was significantly heavier than rural area students. The economic level of urban area students was significantly higher than rural area students. Second, about regular meal, urban area students eat well than rural area students. As a family turn to a nuclear family, a dual income family charge half of the students. So, we need to consider a counterplan and guide with interest about regular meal guidance and nourishment from home and school. Third, about food preference, they like a roast meat, a hamburger, a sweet and sour pork, and eat them frequently. The preference of a castella, a bar of sweet red-bean paste, a gingko nut of urban area students was significantly higher than rural area students. From these facts, There are many difficult to cope with rapidly change of family system, westernization and instant of eating culture, various food in home and school. The students food preference change rapidly. So, we must collect basic data continually to fit with rapid change of the students’ food preference educationally and efficiently.
