The purpose of this study was to suggest the recent trends and issues of technology education in USA. Therefore, the study was conducted through literature research on the technology education in USA. The findings of this study were as follows: 1. The increase in the number of states in USA that include technology education in the state framework. The STL and AETL usage is positive in the respect that more and more becoming informed about what technological literacy encompasses. 2. It is clear that there is a shortage of technology teachers, and the shortages will continue to increase in USA. 3. In USA, standards for technology education were developed by 3 reports(1996; 2000; 2003). Also, In 2004, Ohio’s Academic Content Standards were developed for computer and multimedia literacy, information literacy, and technological literacy. 4. The goal of technology education in USA basically depends on technological literacy, The contents were five parts such as manufacturing technology, construction technology, transportation technology, information communication technology, and bio-related technology. And the processes of technology were design/developing technology, production technology, using technology, and assessing technology based on the problem solving methodology.
