The purpose of this study was to offer the program of environmental education to the elementary school student by the creative horticultural activity focused on air purification of indoor plant. Indoor plant mainly dealed with 6th grade of practical arts education and considered as most practical educational tool for the children who are mostly live in urban areas. Currently, it known to be as useful plant for purifying indoor air pollution and most effective eco-friendly method for control of environmental conditions and relaxing the emotions and cognition of human effectively. So, we designed environmental education program with horticultural activities which was mainly focused on indoor plant as pilot study. It was composed of integrative and seasonal education program. For analyzing the effectiveness of environmental function of indoor plant as tools of environmental eudcation, we conducted experiment how it could purifying indoor air condition effectively. Through the experiment, foliage plant decrease the degree of temperature, humidity and volatile organic compounds very effectively. So, it was expected that using foliage plant as effective educational tools for developing environmental education program and purifying air conditions of indoor spaces of elementary school as practical purpose coincidentally.
